Daniel Roberts

Financial Services Controller

Daniel Roberts, CPA, CGMA has extensive experience in finance and accounting roles spanning various industries. Daniel has held positions such as Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Accounting, and Senior Vice President of Finance, showcasing their expertise in managing day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial statements, overseeing controls and processes, and maintaining staff. With a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance/Economics from Lipscomb University, Daniel’s career has been marked by a strong focus on compliance, efficiency, and financial management. 

Frank Simone

General Counsel

Frank Simone is an experienced transactional and litigation attorney who is also a Certified Financial Planner. A graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law, Simone has been licensed to practice for more than 20 years. Simone’s specialty areas include banking law, corporate law, commercial litigation, appellate litigation and trust and estate planning. He has appeared on local news (ABC, NBC, FOX, and CBS) and on national news programs providing insight on legal matters.

Aatifa Jamal

Vice President of Human Resources

With over 20 years of professional experience, including 15 dedicated to human resources and training, Aatifa is a seasoned leader in talent management, organizational development, and strategic human capital initiatives. Aatifa has spent 16 years in the luxury hospitality industry and 4 years in property management, cultivating a deep understanding of service excellence, employee engagement, and operational efficiency across dynamic and customer-centric environments. Since Aatifa joined KWPMC in 2021, she is recognized for designing and implementing HR strategies that align with organizational goals while fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation. Their expertise spans recruitment and retention, leadership development, employee relations, compliance, and driving organizational change to support growth and profitability.

In luxury hospitality, Aatifa led HR initiatives for high-performing teams, focusing on delivering exceptional guest experiences by empowering and supporting employees at all levels. Transitioning to property management, Aatifa leveraged their HR acumen to optimize workforce performance, streamline HR operations, and enhance employee satisfaction in a competitive market. A results-oriented and people-focused leader, Aatifa is committed to fostering environments where talent thrives, diversity is celebrated, and business objectives are exceeded. They hold an MBA with specializations in Human Resources or Business Management and are passionate about mentoring the next generation of HR professionals.

Sherwin Lewis

Director of Engineering

Sherwin Lewis serves as Corporate Director of Engineering at KW PROPERTY MANAGEMENT & CONSULTING, where he provides strategic oversight of engineering, facilities operations, and capital planning across the portfolio. With more than three decades of experience in hospitality, property, and facilities management, Sherwin brings a disciplined, systems-driven approach to building performance, life safety, and asset preservation.

Prior to joining KWPMC, Sherwin held senior engineering leadership roles with Marriott International, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, and IHG Hotels & Resorts, overseeing multi-property operations, large-scale renovations, preventive maintenance programs, and energy management initiatives. His background spans luxury hotels, resorts, and complex mixed-use environments, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, guest and resident experience, and risk mitigation.

Sherwin holds a degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University–Newark, an HVAC degree from Lincoln Tech, and is a Certified Hospitality Facilities Executive (CHFE). He also maintains State of New Jersey Blue Seal licenses as an Operating Engineer and Refrigeration Engineer.

Mark Sanfilippo

Executive Director of IT

Mark is an innovative technologist with over 26 years experience designing and developing custom-built IT solutions to optimize and improve client experiences. Before joining KWPMC, Mark held key roles as a top IT executive within development and private equity-backed real estate companies. Mark’s analytical mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and organizational skills have proven invaluable in spearheading a diverse range of progressive IT initiatives within KWPMC.

Suzel Broe (CPA)

Chief Financial Officer

Suzel Broe joined KWPMC in 2024, bringing her extensive accounting expertise to support the company’s associations. A Certified Public Accountant, Suzel has more than two decades of experience as a business owner, consultant, and senior accounting professional, with a Big-4 accounting background. She has worked with major clients such as Restaurant Brands International (NYSE: QSR), University of Miami, Cyxtera Technologies (NYSE: CYXT), and AppGate Inc. Most recently, Suzel served as CFO of Orion Real Estate Group. Her experience spans managing multiple clients and complex projects, including accounting policy implementation, purchase accounting, acquisition integration, due diligence for business acquisitions, and systems conversions. Additionally, Suzel has led efforts in strategic finance, planning, financial modeling, and operations, helping businesses optimize financial processes and achieve long-term success.  

Cody James

Vice President

Cody James serves as Vice President for KW PROPERTY MANAGEMENT & CONSULTING Midwest, where he is focused on scaling operations and supporting the company’s expansion in the Chicago market. He brings deep experience in operational strategy, financial analysis, and growth execution across real estate technology, professional services, and consulting environments.

Prior to joining KWPMC, Cody held senior operations and strategy leadership roles at a high-growth real estate technology company, where he built scalable operating models, led market expansion initiatives, improved operational efficiency by more than 40 percent, and supported significant revenue growth and acquisition activity. Earlier in his career, he worked in strategy and deal advisory at KPMG, advising clients on performance optimization, mergers and acquisitions, and operational transformation across multiple industries.

Cody holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Accountancy and Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 

Asa Sherwood

President

Asa Sherwood, President of KW PROPERTY MANAGEMENT & CONSULTING Midwest, oversees operations, growth, and client services across a diverse portfolio of community associations. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in property management and real estate, he has guided some of the industry’s largest organizations through significant growth, acquisitions, and operational excellence initiatives.

Prior to joining KWPMC Midwest, Asa served as Chief Strategy Officer at Oakline Properties, directing platform integrations. He previously held senior leadership roles as CEO, COO, and President of Zeman Homes, managing a $1 billion portfolio of manufactured home and RV communities, and as Midwest Region President at FirstService Residential, overseeing 1,250 properties and 190,000 units.

Asa holds designations including PCAM, CMCA, and AMS, is licensed as a Community Association Manager in Illinois, and has served on the CAI Illinois Board of Directors, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation CAM Licensing and Disciplinary Board, and The Apartment Building Owners and Managers Association (ABOMA) Board.
